Soledad Fox, V-Nee Yeh ’81 Professor of Spanish and Comparative Literature, is featured in a new documentary produced by Spanish public television, ARTE France & ARTE Germany – The Thousand Lives of Jorge Semprún – in which she is interviewed extensively on camera by the filmmakers. Later this month, she will speak about Semprún at the Memorial Democratic in Barcelona at the presentation of a scholarly book on literature and concentration camps.
Additionally, her acclaimed biography of the late Jorge Semprún, European author, politician and Buchenwald survivor is recently reissued by Penguin Random House Spain. On the occasion of the centenary and the re-release of her biography, she was recently interviewed for the Spanish-Mexican literary magazine Letras Libres and Voice of America. Fox has also written a tribute to Semprún in Spain’s monthly cultural magazine El Cultural.
